DESCRIPTION The Mishmi subspecies is the least colorful, being an overall smoky brown color, darker on the legs and face, and lighter on the back.
DISTRIBUTION Mountains of Bhutan, northern Assam, northern Myanmar (Burma), and possibly adjacent parts of Yunnan Province in China.
TAXONOMIC NOTES This category consists of the named subspecies whitei (Bhutan) and taxicolor (rest of range), with taxicolor Hodgson, 1850 having priority. Some authorities feel they are synonymous.
