DESCRIPTION The western subspecies has the smallest, palest body and the smallest horns of any greater kudu. Usually there are 4-5 vertical stripes on each side.
DISTRIBUTION Southeastern Chad, also locally in northeastern Central African Republic near Ouanda Djalle, and extending into adjacent parts of far western Sudan.
